Ekaré Sur

Claudia Larraguibel was born in Santiago de Chile in 1968. After the military coup, her family went into exile in Caracas (Venezuela). There she studied literature and worked as a teacher and journalist. In 1995 she moved to Madrid, where she trained in journalism, and writes texts for magazines and books as well as being editor of Ekaré Sur, a Chilean publishing house specialising in illustrated books for children and young people. Founded in 2008 by Claudia herself, together with Verónica Uribe and Iván Larraguibel, it has a young and award-winning catalogue of publications, mostly by national authors and illustrators. In its carefully edited editions it offers meaningful stories, created to remain in the memory and in the hearts of its readers.
