We’ve had some incredible sunshine in Angoulême this week, though it’s just come to an end today with a very cold wind that looks set to stick around.

As for me, I’ve been making progress with the project tests whilst keeping up with the political news—with a certain sense of unease about the looming threat of a third world war—in an attempt to incorporate this into the animation. It’s a world of aggressive news stories that contrasts sharply with the peace we enjoy here.

jeWe’ve become friends with the other residents, who also arrived recently, and we’ve had picnics with them and gone on a few trips out by car.

rocioRocioRocioI went to see the paper museum with PowerPaola and an exhibition by Sebastien Blanquet where you had to ride around on a rustic bike-train, like a very fun, contemporary DIY ‘witch’s train’. 

rociovaryaWe also went to a life drawing event at an alternative local association called Baraka, which was really cool. Our time in Angoulême is drawing to a close and we’re already sad to think about it!
