Fernando Tarancón holds a degree in journalism from the UPV/EHU, although he has been working as a bookseller since 1994, when the JOKER bookstore first opened its doors in the Santutxu neighborhood of Bilbao. From its modest beginnings, Joker has had two core focuses: comics and the world of games. Since 2014, it has brought these two areas together in a space of more than 300 m² at 7 Euskalduna Street, where it organizes talks, workshops, and other cultural activities.
