El encuentro profesional internacional de ilustración Irudika ha presentado el viernes 24 de mayo el trabajo realizado por Ca_teter, pseudónimo del ilustrador Jorge Mato, y María Barriga durante el periodo de residencia artística entre la Citè Internationale de la Bande Dessinée de Angouleme, la Casa del Autor de Zapopán y la Fundación Bilbaoarte Fundazioa llevado a cabo desde el pasado 8 de marzo

This week was very intense. In addition to moving forward with our projects, we experimented with the addictive world of risographs, ate delicious food to the rhythm of mariachi bands, made a few stings at the bowling alley, did some dancing at the disco, and became fans of the Mayan warrior in the wrestling arena. Not bad!

The res is the house, the caz is the studio, the gorditas are like arepas the lady told me near the cathedral, we can see the fireworks from the central square and don't worry it's not spicy. After four incredible weeks we left Angulema and left behind new friends, 13th century churches, the river from the wall and the leaves sprouting from the trees. Our path now took us for four days to Bologna and its gigantic book fair where we lost ourselves in aisles, publishing houses and books that filled us with ideas and inspiration.

ES . Llegamos a nuestra tercera semana en anguleme, lo extraño se vuelve cotidiano y los sonidos nuevos se vuelven nuestros. Los procesos de trabajo comienzan a dejarse caer en las charlas y la lluvia de los últimos días, bajo ese cielo color plomo que por momentos me recuerda a otros cielos familiares.

ES. Poco a poco vamos entrando en lo profundo. Ya estamos en la mitad de nuestra primera etapa en Angoulême. Al cerrar los ojos en la noche recreo conversaciones interminables en inglés y los días como semanas.
