Speakers
Bruno Ibáñez
Bruno, known for a time as Bruno Ilo, Bruno Efímero, and Bru, editor of *Makuto Heyoka*, and a master of meditation, yoga, philosophy, the body, the soul, and the non-definition of the self based on matter. As a medium, the pencil was important, but vibration took its place. For years, he has been an essential part of the Basque Country’s underground publishing scene, with his fanzines and cartoons addressing existential questions that, in addition to making us ponder important issues, have had us laughing out loud or filled our hearts with tenderness.
Txaranga Urretabizkaia
Hyperventilated brass band: saxophones, trombones, trumpets, clarinet, French horn. Starting with simple instructions, they create self-regulating compositions and choreographies. They have performed on the Puente de la Salve, on a bus, at the Kiosko del Arenal, at the Markina fronton, and on Ea Beach. They present pieces created specifically for each performance. Txaranga Urretabizkaia is an open group whose number of musicians varies. Its members have played in bands such as Eten, Gora Japon, Los Plomos, Hamburgesa Vegetal, Magmadam, Kakofunk, Polígono Elgoibar, -Gailu, etc.
Silitia
Silitia is an unclassifiable duo from Bizkaia, comprising Ibai Silicato (Lekeitio, 1997) and Xabier Barrutia (Bilbao, 1999), in which the music – which they themselves describe as ‘brioche pop’ – their stage presence and their artistic vision are all equally important. If you ask them about their style, they’ll tell you they make punky-funky-electro-Basque-rock songs, but above all, Silitia is a multifaceted and constantly evolving project that surprises with every move.
